Luzerne man charged with Schuylkill robbery

A Luzerne County man has been charged with robbing a store in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Raymond Edward Bolling, 41, of Hazle Township, has been charged in connection an incident that occurred at the Dollar General Store, located at 410 S. Hancock St., in Kline Township, on Nov. 6.

Troopers said Bolling entered the store at 8:10 p.m. and handed an employee a note. The note read, “Don’t say word, I have a gun. Open the register.” After reading the note, he nodded his head to look down. The clerk told the suspect that she could not open the register without a key or purchase. He replied, “just open the register.” He appeared to get frustrated, grabbed his note and left the store.

Troopers said the investigation revealed Bolling committed the robbery along with several others in the Hazleton area.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Bolling charging him with robbery, criminal attempt to commit theft and terroristic threats. Bolling is currently incarcerated in the Luzerne County prison on unrelated charges.
