A crash between Nesquehoning and Jim Thorpe on Route 209 closed the road Monday morning.

Crews from New Columbus, Nesquehoning, Hauto, and Jim Thorpe fire companies along with the Nesquehoning ambulance and Lehighton ALS responded at approximately 730 a.m.

A pickup traveling east on 209 appeared to have lost control shearing a telephone pole and overturning the vehicle.

Crews spent approximately 20 minutes extricating the driver. Route 209 was closed while crews cleaned up the scene.
