Two charged in Jim Thorpe thefts

Jim Thorpe police have charged two men in connection with several theft incidents

Earl A. Eldridge, 36, of the 300 block of South Avenue, Jim Thorpe, and Mark Anthony Bauder Sr., 47, of the 200 block of E. Ridge Street, Lansford, have been charged with the theft incident that included the taking of jewelry, iPad, laptop computer, coins, and .22-caliber Taurus pistol. The thefts occurred at a residence on the 800 block of Center Avenue. The thefts were reported to police in October of 2016.

Through further investigation police accused Eldridge with selling several of the stolen items to Bauder and his nephew, Kerry Scott Bauder, 33, of last known address of 35 Sharpe Street, Lansford for drug money. Eldridge and Mark Bauder have been served with their charges. Eldridge has been charged with receiving stolen property (felony) and criminal conspiracy (receiving stolen property); Mark Bauder has been charged with receiving stolen property (felony), two counts of criminal conspiracy - receiving stolen property), and unsworn falsification to authorities.

An felony arrest warrant has been issued for Kerry Scott Bauder. Anyone with information on Kerry Scott Bauder’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or borough police at 570-325-4995.
