Tamaqua police report on citations

Tamaqua police recently filed several citations.

Megan H. Hill

, 27, of Skyline Drive, Tamaqua, was cited for retail theft, defiant trespass and disorderly conduct after shoplifting at the Family Dollar Store, 125 Center St., on Oct. 7. Hill attempted to steal various items, including socks with an anti-theft device, at 8:45 a.m. She was previously warned to stay out of the store due to shoplifting.

Judith Mueller

, 74, of Rolling Mill Avenue, Tamaqua, was cited for passing a bad check. Mueller wrote a check for $200 to the Office of District Magistrate Stephen Bayer on July 3. The check was returned due to insufficient funds and Mueller has made no effort to resolve the issue.

Jennifer DiPietro

, 34, of Green St., Tamaqua, was cited for trespassing at the Family Dollar Store on Oct. 10. DiPietro had been banned from the store due to a previous incident.

Jill Micholik

, 50, of Cedar Street, Tamaqua, was cited for simple assault and harassment after a domestic dispute on Oct. 11. Police were called to her home at 7:32 p.m. for a domestic in progress. They spoke with the victim, who said he had been punched in the eye and nose by Micholik. He did have visible injuries.
