Dr. Harry Tennyson, superintendent of the Lehighton-Weissport Union School District, at a special meeting of the school board last evening, reported plans for the projected elementary building to be constructed on a site on North 10th Street directly opposite the Lehighton football stadium, were supported by the Department of Public Instruction on Tuesday.

The board announced coal will be used to heat the building and cold cathode lighting will be used in the building, which is being designed by the architectural firm of Hyle-Miller-Bond, Allentown.
