East Penn to hold fall cleanup day

East Penn Township will once again host its Freecycle and Fall Cleanup day, giving residents a chance to discard unwanted or unneeded household items.

Residents will be allowed to leave one load of items at the municipal building at 167 Municipal Road from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 14.

Two televisions of any type will be accepted at no charge while tires from small SUVs, dump trucks and utility trailers can be disposed of with a small fee, along with refrigerators, freezers and AC units for less than $20 per item. A complete list of items that can be dropped off during the cleanup day can be found on the new website or by calling the township office at 570-386-5735.

The township will also host its annual trick-or-treat and trunk-or-treat nights from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 25. The trunk-or-treat event will be held at the East Penn Social Hall parking lot.
