Schuylkill County court

Schuylkill County Judge James P. Goodman has sentenced seven people charged by local police to prison terms.

Gregario Flores

, 37, of Allentown, was charged by Tamaqua police with resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia on June 10, 2016.

Flores pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and possessing a controlled substance.

Goodman sentenced him to six to 24 months in state prison.

Cody J. Deetz

, 22, of Tamaqua, was charged in two cases.

He was charged by Tamaqua police with two counts each of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving without a license on Feb. 3, 2016.

He pleaded guilty to one count each of theft and receiving, and unauthorized use.

Goodman sentenced him to the 54 days he’d already served to 23 months in the county jail, and to pay $260 restitution.

He was also charged by Rush Township police with theft of leased property and receiving stolen property on July 3, 2015.

He pleaded guilty to both charges. Goodman sentenced him to pay $1,563 restitution, and serve one day to 12 months in jail, with credit for 10 days he’d already served.

Daniel J. Dannenfelser

, 42, of Tamaqua, was charged by borough police with possession of drug paraphernalia on Feb. 1.

He pleaded guilty, and Goodman sentenced him to the 95 days he’d already served to 12 months in jail.

Dustin P. Oncay

, 33, of Tamaqua, was charged by borough police with two counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance on April 14, 2016.

He pleaded guilty to one count each, and Goodman sentenced him to 18 to 36 months in state prison.

Oncay was given credit for the 124 days he’d already served.

Shawn W. Johnson

, 32, of Tamaqua, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia on Oct. 9, 2016.

He pleaded guilty to the manufacturing and paraphernalia charges.

Goodman sentenced him to 18 to 36 months in state prison.

He was given credit for the 11 days he’d already served.

Christopher C. Keer

, 28, of Coaldale, was charged by borough police with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia on July 21, 2015.

Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin sentenced him to three to 12 months in jail.

Brett T. Rodriquez

, 39, Lansford, was charged by Coaldale police on Feb. 8, 2016, with resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and four counts of harassment.

He pleaded to all but the harassment charges, which were dropped.

Judge James P. Goodman sentenced him to 174 days to 18 months in jail for resisting arrest; 174 days to 12 months in jail on the possession charge; 12 months on the paraphernalia charge.
