Carbon County court — ARD

Carbon County Judge Joseph J. Matika on Friday accepted 10 people into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program.

The program, for first-time offenders, allows those who successfully complete to have their records expunged.

Acceptance into the program is not an admission of guilt. All of the participants pay court costs and fees.

Schylar T. Brunner

, 21, of Boyertown, Montgomery County, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance on April 5 by Weatherly police.

Matika accepted him into ARD for one year, and ordered him to pay $600 to help offset the cost of the program. He also ordered Brunner to perform 50 hours of community service, complete Alcohol Highway Safety School, and obtain outpatient treatment. His license was suspended for 60 days.

Chad M. Kolensky

, 28, of Beaver Meadows, was charged with driving under the influence on March 5 by state police at Hazleton in Beaver Meadows.

His blood alcohol content was 0.21 percent. The threshold for impaired driving is 0.08 percent.

Matika accepted him into ARD for one year, and ordered him to pay $550 to help offset the cost of the program. He also ordered Kolensky to perform 50 hours of community service, complete Alcohol Highway Safety School, and attend addiction education and relapse prevention groups. His license was suspended for 60 days.

Zachary T. Carr

, 20, of Morton, Delaware County, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance on June 16 by Kidder Township police along Interstate 80.

His blood alcohol content was 0.13 percent.

Matika accepted him into ARD for one year, and ordered him to pay $600 to help offset the cost of the program. He also ordered Carr to perform 50 hours of community service, complete Alcohol Highway Safety School, and obtain outpatient treatment. His license was suspended for 90 days.

James J. Doerr-Niver

, 18, of Coaldale, was charged with driving under the influence and simple assault on Jan. 10 by Lansford police along West Abbott Street.

A woman was struck by his car.

Matika accepted him into ARD for one year, and ordered him to pay $600 to help offset the cost of the program. He also ordered Doerr-Niver to perform 50 hours of community service, complete Alcohol Highway Safety School, and obtain outpatient treatment. His license was suspended for 90 days.

Diane M. Galetti

, 35, of Whitehall, was charged with passing bad checks on March 28, 2016, by Lansford police. Matika accepted her into ARD for one year, and ordered him to pay $650 to help offset the cost of the program. He also ordered Galetti to perform 50 hours of community service, and to pay $1,300 restitution to Ron’s Auto Sales, Lansford.

Giacoma Salera

, 52, of Frackville, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance on April 4 by Weatherly police.

Matika accepted him into ARD for one year, and ordered him to pay $600 to help offset the cost of the program. He also ordered Salera to perform 50 hours of community service, complete Alcohol Highway Safety School, and obtain outpatient treatment. His license was suspended for 60 days.

Alexis Valentin-Morales

, 25, of Newark, New Jersey, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Feb. 18 by state police at Fern Ridge.

Matika accepted him into ARD for one year, and ordered him to pay $600 to help offset the cost of the program. He also ordered Valentin-Morales to perform 50 hours of community service, complete Alcohol Highway Safety School, and obtain outpatient treatment. His license was suspended for 60 days.

Wanda E. Sanchez-Rosario

, 41, of Newark, New Jersey, who was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Valentin-Morales, was charged with possession of a small amount marijuana.

Matika accepted her into ARD for six months, and ordered her to pay $450 to help offset the cost of the program. He also ordered Sanchez-Rosario to perform 25 hours of community service.

Dorion J. Young-Jenkins

, 24, of Philadelphia, was charged with possession of a controlled substance on Nov. 24, 2015, by state police at Fern Ridge along I-80 in Kidder Township.

Matika accepted him into ARD for six months, and ordered him to pay $650 to help offset the cost of the program. He also ordered Young-Jenkins to perform 50 hours of community service.

Scott M. Seagreaves

, 39, of McAdoo, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance on April 11 by Weatherly police.

Matika accepted Seagreaves into ARD for one year, and ordered him to pay $600 to help offset the cost of the program. He also ordered Seagreaves to perform 50 hours of community service, suspended his license for 60 days, and ordered him to complete Alcohol Highway Safety School.
