A man from Sacramento, Schuylkill Township, died in a one-vehicle crash at 6:31 a.m. Sept. 30 on Fearnot Road in Hubley Township.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said Christian L. Morgan was pronounced dead at the scene by Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Sandra Polletti. Officials said he was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

According to police, Morgan was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu eastbound on Fearnot Road, in the area east of Honeymoon Road, when for some unknown reason the car drifted across both lanes of travel and struck an embankment along the westbound shoulder. The vehicle rolled onto its roof and came to an uncontrolled final rest on its roof in the center of Fearnot Road, rfacing east.

The vehicle was removed from the scene by Stiely’s Auto.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Sacramento Fire Company and Hegins EMS corps.
