The Weatherly Public Library will celebrate the first anniversary of its grand opening in October. There will be special events taking place throughout the month and books in the sales room will be BOGO.

October will be Amnesty Month. Any overdue books may be returned without paying a fine.

Storytime sessions for children will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 13, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8.

The library will be open from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays. Game nights will be held every first and third Thursday of the month; the library board meets every second Thursday; and a newly formed book club will meet on the fourth Thursday of the month.

Santa will visit the library on Dec. 16.
