A Tamaqua man was cited for causing a commotion at Friday night's football game in Tamaqua.

An officer approached Steven Wayne Schickram, 38, of 340 Clarke St., to speak to him concerning a fire at Schickram's home earlier in the day. He was met with loud screaming, yelling and cursing. As this continued the officer told Schickram he would be cited for disorderly conduct. When told to put his hands on the fence, Schickram refused, continuing to yell.Other officers arrived and a scuffle began as they tried to apply handcuffs. At one point an officer used his Taser to bring Schickram into compliance.He was cited for disorderly conduct and transported to a Pottsville hospital for treatment.West Penn Township Police assisted at the scene.
