Bonfire, parade Saturday at L&L Fire Co.

Lehigh and Lausanne Rural Volunteer Fire Company is celebrating their newest fire truck with a parade and bonfire Saturday night.

The company recently purchased a new Ram 5500 rescue truck. It will help the fire company respond to vehicle accidents as well as rescues at the Glen Onoko Falls, which is part of its coverage area.

The company will dedicate and house the new truck Saturday night with a celebration that is open to the public.

The fire truck parade will begin at 6 p.m. at the former Tung-Sol property in Weatherly, located at Plane and West Main Streets.

It will continue around the borough onto East Main, then out Lehigh Gorge Drive to the Fire Company.

Awards are available for a wide variety of categories for rescue vehicles.

Following the parade, there will be a bonfire at the fire company.

"Liar Liar" will be providing live music from 6-10 p.m.

Roast beef sandwiches, soft drinks and beer will be available at the fire house.
