Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, fellowship time 10:15-10:45 a.m., morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Evening worship, 7 p.m., fellowship hall.Tuesday: Ladies Bible study, 10 a.m. at Blocker's residence.Wednesday: Revelation Bible study, 6 p.m.; prayer meeting, 7 p.m.Thursday: Men's Bible study at McDonald's, 5:15 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.Friday: Wrapped in Prayer Ministry, 7 p.m.In Celebration of Five Centuries of Truth - 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Protestant Reformation through Martin Luther. In recognition of this, an adult Sunday school class will be devoted to an examination of the central truth of the Reformation: Justification by Faith. The class will include a video series by R.C. Sproul as well as discussion and application of the foundational teaching to today's church and believers. The same program will be presented at 7 p.m. Sundays in the fellowship hall.
