Franklin Township's board of supervisors announced that trash pickup on Oct. 9 will be moved to Oct. 10 due to the holiday.

Board secretary Brenda Neeb then asked residents with recycling bins to be patient.She explained that the company formerly providing bins and removal will no longer offer the service.The board is looking into new companies to pick up the task.On Nov. 4 the township will offer an electronic recycling day from 9 a.m. to noon and will only accept electronics from Franklin Township residents.The board of supervisors announced that this year's trick or treat night will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25.
