September 15, 1962 - John Yankovich and Ed Kassak both score a pair of touchdowns to help Coaldale roll to a 47-0 victory over Jim Thorpe. Yankovich opens the scoring in the first quarter on a 72-yard hook-and-lateral when Bill Edwards tosses a pass to Richie Miller, who laterals to Yankovich. He also adds a 65-yard scoring run in the final frame. Kassak reaches the end zone on a 3-yard run and a 29-yard pass from Edwards. The Tigers, coached by Geno Poli, also receive TDs from George Priggins and Walt Fedora.
