A 36-year-old Albrightsville woman was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop made by state police at the Lehighton barracks at 8:50 p.m. Sept. 4 at the intersection of Route 209 and Trach Road in Polk Township.

Police said after the woman displayed signs of impairment, a search of her vehicle revealed suspected drug paraphernalia. The woman was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood draw, after which time she was processed at the Monroe County DUI Center.
