Lansford Babe Ruth is accepting registrations for the fall ball season. A moment of silence was observed for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. An article was read explaining the origins of Labor Day by Louise Serfas.The date of the indoor picnic and Chinese auction was changed from Sept. 25 to Oct. 9. All agreed to the change.Next meeting will be at St. John's Slovak Lutheran Church Social Hall, at 1 p.m. onSept. 11. Doors will open atnoon.Panther Valley LibraryThe Panther Valley Public Library will be starting preschool story hour at 10 a.m. onSept. 12. Children will enjoy a story, make a craft and have a snack.Story hour will be held every Tuesday at 10 a.m. until Dec. 19.
