Please call the church office if you are able to help.First UCCFirst United Church of Christ, 457 Delaware Ave., Palmerton will hold worship services commemorating Patriot Day at 9 a.m. Sunday. You are asked to wear red, white and blue if possible. All are welcome.Following the service (approximately 10 a.m.) will be a meeting of those interested in assisting with the Annual Craft Show and Vendor Show.Please note that in your September newsletter is a Sunday school registration form which must be filled out by parents of children attend Sunday school this fall. A new offering this year is a "Christmas ball" showing the Veterans Memorial. This is in addition to the large selection of post cards of local scenes, old and new. Stop by with your questions or supply your knowledge of information they may not know. The art show will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.Rock huntingThere is a new craze of looking for and hiding rocks. The festival committee is asking folks not to hide them inside the stands at the festival, as the committee doesn't want anyone being hurt while enjoying their rock hunting.Basket auction/book saleThe Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave., is holding its annual basket auction and book sale.Stop at the library and fill a bag of books for $2 and participate in the raffle.
