The first Bacon & Blues Festival will be held today from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Tamaqua Station Restaurant.

Organized by John and Melanie Ross, owners of the restaurant, the date marks National Bacon Day.There will be a bacon-themed menu - both food and drinks - with items such as bacon martinis and bacon bloody Marys; bacon-wrapped scallops; California BLTs; bacon-wrapped tenderloin; and apple and bacon sticky buns with walnuts.Entertainment will include musician Phil Stahl from noon to 3 p.m., The Fat Cats from 3:30-6:30 p.m. and The Big and Bad Rockabilly Cats from 7-10 p.m.There will be a clean comedy act by Jason Lacerte.
