State police at Frackville are investigating a theft from a grave site at a Tamaqua area cemetery.

Troopers said a 72-year-old woman from Tamaqua reported that a solar light that was attached at the base of the headstone of her husband's grave in the Old Fellows Cemetery, Schuylkill Township, had been stolen.The light is about 12 to 15 inches in height with a granite/marble base. On top of the base is a glass shaped tear drop with an engraved heart and the wording "Bill and Liv." At night the exterior of the tear drop produces a blue light around the edge. It is valued at $600.The theft occurred sometime between Aug. 17 and Friday. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
