A 60-year-old man from Saylorsburg is facing pending charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said they stopped the suspect at 9:27 p.m. Aug. 16 in the area of Weir Lake and Meixsell Valley roads in Ross Township for a traffic violation.Police said the charges are pending the results of laboratory testing of the substances.
