Incident over pro football teams

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an incident at a Schuylkill County diner which stemmed from a dispute over pro football teams.

At 1:27 a.m. Friday, troopers were dispatched to the Manheim Diner, located off Route 61 in North Manheim Township, for a disturbance/fight.On scene, troopers learned that a husband and wife entered the diner and began heckling a father and three juveniles who were wearing Philadelphia Eagles attire. One of the juveniles also had his face painted in Eagles' colors.The husband and wife were apparently Pittsburgh Steeler fans and heckled the father and juveniles concerning the two pro teams. The incident turned physical and all parties exited the diner where the altercation continued in the parking lot.Troopers said the investigation is continuing and they will review video surveillance from the diner. The parties involved were all from Minersville, according to police report.
