Carbon Career and Technical Institute's joint operating committee voted in favor of a special set of criteria for freshman students from Lehighton Area School District attending CCTI for the 2017-2018 school year during Thursday's meeting.

All Lehighton freshmen must attend CCTI half-time in the morning session.If any freshmen decide to attend CCTI full-time for their sophomore year, they must take a social studies credit through credit recovery at the Lehighton Area School District before their sophomore year.A science credit will be waived for CCTI's graduation requirement for Lehighton students who began as half-time freshmen for the 2017-2018 school year.
