A 9-year-old boy was pulled from Mauch Chunk Lake Saturday afternoon. He was unresponsive.

According to reports,the boy was found in the water shortly after 3 p.m. after the family noticed that he had not resurfaced from the water.Emergency crews were called to the lake park where they performed CPR.A medical helicopter transported the child to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest, where he was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit. No update on his condition could be obtained.Jim Thorpe Police are investigating.Attempts to contact police and Mauch Chunk Lake Park officials were unsuccessful.
