Man facing theft of vehicle count

A Monroe County man is facing a theft of vehicle count and related charges.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said on April 29 a resident ofForest Drive in A Pocono Country Place reported his vehicle had been stolen. It was then returned to the driveway of the residence with severe damages. The victim identified Arthur L. Taylor, 34, of 173 Nadine Blvd., Pocono Summit, as the person who took the vehicle and caused the damages. The victim said Taylor returned the vehicle, was intoxicated, and left.Officers later spoke with Taylor, who denied ever driving the vehicle in question.Officers located parts from the damaged vehicle along the road where Taylor said he had walked the night before. Police obtained video footage at the A Pocono Place Gate B that showed Taylor operating the vehicle with damages to it the night in question. Officers obtained an arrest warrant for Taylor, but were unable to find him.On Aug. 9, a vehicle stop was conducted along Summit Avenue and Taylor was found to be a passenger in the vehicle. He was taken into custody on the warrant. He has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, a felony three; receiving stolen property, a felony three; unlawful use of a motor vehicle and unsworn falsification to law enforcement, misdemeanor twos; and a summary offense of driving while operating privileges are suspended or revoked.
