The Panther Valley School District has announced their schedule for the opening of the 2017-18 school year.

The first day for students will be Monday, Aug. 28. It will be a full day.Schedules are as follows:Junior/Senior High School (grades 7-12): 7:30 a.m.-2:10 p.m.Intermediate School (grades 4-6): 8:30 a.m.-2:55 p.m.Elementary School (grades 1-3): 8:30 a.m.-2:55 p.m.A.M. Kindergarten (Coaldale/Lansford): 8:30 a.m.-11:10 a.m.P.M. Kindergarten (Nesquehoning/Summit Hill): 12:15-2:55 p.m.Aug. 23-24 are teacher in-service days.Seventh-grade orientation will be held 9-11 a.m. Aug. 24Intermediate school open house will be held Aug. 24. between 4:30-7:30 p.m.Kindergarten and first grade meet the teacher night is at 6 p.m. Aug. 29 in the elementary school gym.Second and third grade meet the teacher night is at 6 p.m. Aug 30 in the gym.Junior/Senior High School meet the teacher night is from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 14.
