Man charged in 2 cases of domestic abuse

A Tamaqua man has been charged in two domestic abuse cases that were reported to police in late July.

Officers were sent toCedar Street residence at 9:13 p.m. on July 28 for a domestic in progress. The caller said a man was pushing and pulling a woman in and out of a residence. When police arrived, Randy Crocker, 54, was straddling a woman he had on the ground. Crocker was removed from the victim and placed in handcuffs.The victim refused to press charges and rebuffed the officer's attempt to give her information on a protection from abuse order.Crocker was cited for disorderly conduct.Three days later, at 7:35 p.m. on July 31, officers again received a call about a domestic dispute at the Crocker residence. This time the call came from the victim, who said Crocker first tried to push her out of the home, then threw her back inside when she decided to leave. She was eventually able to escape.Crocker was charged with unlawful restraint and false imprisonment.
