Crashes led to DUI charges

Two crashes in Monroe County has led to driving under the influence charges being filed against the drivers.

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to a crash on July 12 at 3:57 a.m. along Route 115 in Tunkhannock Township. The investigation revealed that William Fitzgerald, 35, of Pocono Lake, was driving northbound when he passed out and the vehicle rolled over. Fitzgerald was taken to the Lehigh Valley Pocono Hospital, East Stroudsburg, for treatment. Police found suspected marijuana inside the vehicle and suboxone on Fitzgerald.A chemical test was positive for marijuana in Fitzgerald's blood.He has been charged with DUI, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.The second crash occurred on July 13 at 2:18 a.m. along Long Woods Road, in the Pocono Farms development, in Coolbaugh Township. Police said their investigation revealed that Felicia Dilello, 22, of Tobyhanna, drove off the roadway and her vehicle struck a large tree. Dilello had a strong odor of alcohol and nearly passed out at the scene. She was taken to the LVP for treatment. A test reveal her blood/alcohol content was above the legal limit of 0.08 percent. She was charged with DUI.
