August 14, 1987 - Randy Hydro tosses a two-hitter and slugs a pair of homers to help Jim Thorpe roll to a 20-0 victory over Lansford to claim the Panther Valley Little League tournament championship. Hydro strikes out 12 batters and also scores four runs. The winners, who finish the tourney with a 7-0 record, take control of the game by scoring eight runs in the second inning. Aaron Sebelin and Paul Henning contribute two-run doubles during the frame while Hydro belts a two-run homer. Daryl Snyder collects four hits to lead a 17-hit attack, while Sebelin ends with three.
