Laine O. Confer received a bachelor of science degree in health information management from Temple University. She was a cum laude graduate and named to the dean's list at Temple in May.

While attending Temple, Laine's academic achievements and leadership roles included: dean's list; vice president of social media and secretary/treasurer for the National Society of Collegiate Scholar; vice president of finance for the Health Information Management Student Association; student activities representative; Panhellenic delegate; and LAMP magazine reporter for Delta Zeta National Sorority Rho Lambda National Sorority Leadership Recognition Society.She interned in Health Information Management at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland.The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce O. Confer of Hometown, Laine is also the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guido Lopresto of Tamaqua and the late Donald and Ruth Confer. She is a 2013 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School.Laine has accepted a position with HM Health Solutions, an affiliate of Highmark Health, as associate business technical analyst and an Emerging Leaders Program associate.
