Frackville resident Rachel Seitzinger, certified registered nurse practitioner, has joined St. Luke's Family Medicine in Coaldale and St. Luke's Primary Care Nesquehoning.

As a nurse practitioner, Seitzinger said she is excited to have the opportunity "to help area families get better and stay healthy." Seitzinger sees patients of all ages at both family practices but primarily focuses on diagnosing and treating older adults, adolescents and children.Seitzinger had been a hospital nurse working on medical surgical floors for 10 years before returning to school to get her advanced degree as a nurse practitioner from Bloomsburg University. She has a bachelor of science in nursing from Penn State Schuylkill campus."I've always been interested in helping people," Seitzinger said. "And I felt that the skills I acquired working with patients who had undergone surgery and who were combating infections was great preparation.
