A Monroe County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred at 6:55 p.m. Aug. 2.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers on patrol in the Greenwood Acres development observed a vehicle parked at the beach along Lido Drive. Contact was made with the driver and passenger, who was immediately identified as Xavier Rodriguez, 23, ofBlakeslee.A warrant check indicated that Rodriguez had active warrants for his arrest. Upon the arrival of another police unit, Rodriguez ran from officers. Following a short foot pursuit, Rodriguez was taken into custody.He was taken to the county prison in Snydersville on the warrants. He was also charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
