Elaine "Dolly" (West) Watto recently celebrated her 95th birthday. She was born on Aug. 3, 1922. She attended school in East Mauch Chunk and is a lifetime resident of East Mauch Chunk, now Jim Thorpe. She is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and has been active in her community over the years.

Dolly celebrated 60 years of marriage with her late husband, Peter. She has three children: Beverly (Watto) Putt of Cherryville, Terry Watto of Lehighton and Barry Watto of Jim Thorpe.She has eight living grandchildren and one deceased grandchild. She has 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson living in Arizona.Besides being remembered by her many friends and neighbors, a birthday celebration was held at her home surrounded by her family and a special visitor, Anna Nielsen of Roskilde, Denmark.
