State police at Lehighton report on incidents

State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents in which they declined to release names of those involved.

• On Monday at 12:02 p.m. a vehicle stop was made along Weir Mountain Road, south of Doney Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, for traffic violations.As a result, a 24-year-old Gilbert woman was found to have drug paraphernalia. Charges will be filed.• On July 26 at 10:25 a.m. troopers were dispatched to Silver Spring Boulevard to look for a blue Chevrolet Cruz with a white woman parked along the roadway and sleeping in the vehicle. Troopers were then notified the vehicle was traveling north on Silver Spring toward Route 209 and almost struck a tree along the berm.The vehicle was located and the 27-year-old woman was found passed out behind the wheel. A further investigation revealed she was under the influence of a controlled substance.Charges will be filed.• Two people were cited for harassment following an incident on July 29 at 8:45 p.m. in the area ofMountain View Drive in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. Troopers said a 43-year-old Jim Thorpe woman and a 40-year-old Summit Hill man were involved in a verbal altercation which turned physical at one point.• On March 7 at 2:17 p.m. a 26-year-old man from Bushkill entered Armory LLC, 818 Interchange Road in Polk Township, and completed a state and federal applications/records for the purchase of a firearm. The application included a warning and verification that all statements in the application are true and correct.The suspect was subsequently denied the sale/transfer of a firearm and charged with unsworn falsification to authorities for making a false statement on the application.• On July 26 at 11:50 a.m. in the area ofWhite Street in Weissport, a 28-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were the victims of harassment by a 34-year-old man from Lansford.
