Wilmer A. Nothstein, 428 Coal St., Lehighton, yesterday contributed his 56th pint of blood when the American Red Cross Bloodmobile made its appearance at the Lehighton Armory.

A consistent donor since the blood program's inception, Nothstein was the recipient of a 7-gallon pin. He is employed by the Carbon Bottling Co., Lehighton.A total of 147 pints were donated during the day, topping the 125 pint goal by 22 pints.Among the other pins presented were those to Pearl McFarland and Margaret Hall, 4 gallons; Grover Moyer, 3 gallons; Virgil Hodel, 2 gallons, and Lamar Semmel, Harvey Zimmerman and Jack Nothstein, 1 gallon.
