Two people were slightly injured in a motorcycle crash along Interstate 81 in Ryan Township, Schuylkill County, around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

State police at Frackville said Donald L. Conover, 58, of Chenango Forks, New York, was driving a 1993 Honda 999 northbound and negotiating a slight right curve when the rear tire blew out causing the bike to fishtail. Conover was able to pull onto the east shoulder before losing control.Both Conover and his passenger, Donna Conover, 58, same address, were thrown from the bike. The bike came to rest about 15 feet down an embankment. Both suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene by Ryan Township ambulance personnel. Both were wearing protective helmets.
