McAdoo police released details on several recent traffic stops.
•Matthew Logan, 26, of Hazleton, was cited for following another vehicle too closely and driving with a suspended license on July 25. He was stopped at 1:04 a.m. and officers discovered there were four bench warrants for his arrest, all issued out of Luzerne County. He was transported to the Schuylkill County prison in Pottsville.•David Coxe, 47, of Weatherly, was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol on May 21. He was stopped at 2:09 a.m. for driving without head or taillights on his vehicle. After failing field sobriety tests, Coxe was transported to a hospital for blood tests. The results came back positive, showing a .089 percent blood alcohol level. He was charged with two counts of DUI and for driving without lights.• Four people were charged after a traffic stop at 9:35 p.m. on July 8. After stopping a vehicle with a burned out brake light, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana and searched the vehicle. They recovered multiple straws with powder residue, two pipes containing marijuana and a plastic bag with suspected methamphetamine.Killian Schelble, 20, andKeith Luketic, 26, both of McAdoo, were charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, whileJose Contes, 28, andAlex Emeterio, 26, also of McAdoo, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
