Carbon County court - DUI

Three people entered guilty pleas on Friday in Carbon County court on Friday to pending driving under the influence charges.

President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II accepted the pleas from the following:Robert Michael Dietrich, 41, of Lansford, was arrested on Feb. 10 along Bertsch Street by Lansford police. A test revealed a 0.14 BAC. He also pleaded to a summary offense of careless driving.Sentencing was deferred because Dietrich needs a comprehensive drug and alcohol evaluation.Michael Thomas Lucas, 51, of Lehighton, was arrested on April 30, 2016, along Gun Club Road in Towamensing Township by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed a 0.18 BAC. Lucas was involved in a two-vehicle crash.Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and also apply for placement in the county's Intermediate Punishment Program - house arrest.John Charles Vrablic Jr., 38, of Lansford, was arrested on March 11 along Route 902 by Summit Hill police. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.Sentencing was deferred so Vrablic can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
