Commission gives OK to plans

The Carbon County Planning Commission Tuesday made the following recommendations:

• That Penn Forest township reject a proposed development at 1507 Route 534, in the C-1 commercial district. Penn Forest Township Volunteer Fire Co. No. 2 has proposed combining three lots, totaling 2.4773 acres, to build a 3,900-square-foot addition to the existing fire company garage.Planner Ivan O. Meixell said the plan did not conform to several aspects of a township ordinance, but noted that the township could grant waivers and approve the plan.• That Mahoning township approve a subdivision plan for 468 Leininger Road in Mahoning Township. John & Rachael Bednar have proposed to create two lots out of an existing 69.979-acre parcel.• That Lehighton Borough approve, with conditions, a lot line revision for a parcel located on South Ninth Street, filed by Patricia L. Graham. The new lot would measure 0.348 acres.• That Penn Forest Township approve, with conditions, a proposed subdivision at 160 Broad Mountain View Drive. Michael and Anna C. Manoli plan to combine three existing lots to create a 1.515-acre parcel.
