Schuylkill County incidents

The following incidents have been reported from Schuylkill County:

• Peter J. Oushick, 62, of Ashland, is facing a series of charges resulting from a routine traffic patrol finding by state police at Frackville at 6 p.m. June 26 on Centre Street in Ashland.Police said he was charged by summons from the office of District Judge Christina Hale of Frackville with driving while his license is suspended for DUI-related offenses, displaying a counterfeit registration plate that is expired and numerous summary vehicle code violations.• Robert Ursini, 58, of Pikeville, Tennessee, was arraigned on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after he was stopped while driving in the wrong direction on Route 61 in West Mahanoy Township.State police at the Frackville barracks said he was driving a 1997 Buick Century northbound in the southbound travel lanes and also committed other traffic offenses.Following arraignment, he was released on $25,000 unsecured bail.• A Pottsville woman is facing a series of charges after she attempted to walk out of the Boscov's Department Store in East Norwegian Township, near Pottsville, after changing into clothes that she took off the shelves. State police at Schuylkill Haven said she later resisted arrest and assaulted store security.• Carla Jean Noecker, 51, will face charges of retail theft, harassment, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after the incident at 1:44 p.m. July 11.Police said she changed clothes in the restroom of the store and attempted to walk out of the store. Upon being stopped by loss prevention personnel, the woman assaulted them. Police said Noecker then resisted arrest by troopers who were called to the scene.• Roberta Padgett, 32, of Frackville, has been arrested by state police at Frackville with retail theft (shoplifting).Police said she stole a pair of Oakley sunglasses valued at $120 from Dunham's sports store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township.• Catherine Keita of Cressona was arrested by state police at Schuylkill Haven after she was caught shoplifting at the CVS Pharmacy, North Manheim Township, between 10:44-10:52 a.m. July 11.Police said store personnel observed her removing items from the shelves, placing them in a shopping cart and leaving the store without paying for the merchandise.• State police at Frackville said Thomas Demaka Wakefield, 43, of Reading, broke into a residence along Centre Street in Ashland on Friday and fell asleep in a downstairs room. Troopers added that Wakefield was known to the residents of the property but was not welcome to enter and remain there. Wakefield was arrested on Sunday on charges of criminal trespass and loitering and prowling at night.Troopers said Wakefield was arraigned by on-call District Judge David Rossi, of Tremont, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.• Reinoldo Hernandez-Herrera of Girardville was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend at 2 p.m. July 10 on East Ogden Street in Girardville.State police at Frackville charged him with simple assault, harassment and strangulation. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Christine Hale of Frackville and jailed after failure to post $20,000 straight bail.Police said the man, described as a live-in boyfriend, assaulted the victim, choking her and punching her in the eye.
