Ukrainians concert to aid ALS patient

A benefit concert and raffle will be held at 6 p.m. Saturdayat the Ukrainian Homestead of CEC ODWU, 1230 Beaver Run Drive, Lehighton.

The concert will feature a performance by the KAZKA Ukrainian Folk Ensemble and the St. Mary's Traditional Ukrainian Dancers.Ukrainian food, baked good and refreshments will be available. Special gift baskets and raffles will be chanced off throughout the evening.All proceeds from the event benefit the Brett Snyder family in their battle against ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).Snyder, a former football standout at Northwestern Lehigh High School and Lehigh University, has been fighting ALS since 2003. He and his wife Carissa are parents to two sons, ages 3 and 7, and are expecting twins this fall.Admission to the concert is $5.All contributions are tax deductible.For more information on this event, visit
