The temperatures were in the 80s and the sun was shining bright as a near record crowd of adults and children came to the Palmerton Memorial Park Pool on Sunday.

The Pool Pals sponsored its annual Christmas in July event with songs and a visit from Santa.Christmas trivia, a candy cane hunt, Christmas wrapped presents giveaways, fresh baked Christmas cookies and conversations with Santa all made for a fun-filled few hours.Those attending were asked to donate an unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots program.The Palmerton Pool Pals have sponsored Christmas in July for approximately 15 years.Just in case someone is counting Christmas is just about 150 days away.The next big happening for the Palmerton Memorial Park Pool is Old Timers Day which will be held on July 30.
