A Monroe County woman has been charged with homicide for shooting her boyfriend to death.

Pocono Mountain Regional police identified the woman as Barbara Rogers, 42, of Laurel Drive, in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township.According to police about 1:25 a.m. on Saturday police responded to a 911 call at the Laurel Drive address.During the call, Rogers, who identified herself, told the operator that she had shot her boyfriend, later identified as Stephen Mineo, 32, of the Laurel Drive address, and that he was dead. Police then obtained a search warrant for the residence.The investigation revealed that Mineo was shot at close range with a .45-caliber handgun in the center of the forehead.Rogers was subsequently arrested and charged with criminal homicide.She was arraigned on the charge and committed to the county prison in Snydersville without bail.
