Geisinger President and CEO David T. Feinberg, M.D., MBA, made the top three in Modern Healthcare magazine's 2017 list of the 50 Most Influential Physician Executives and Leaders.

Feinberg came in third of 50 execs behind Dr. Tom Price, secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, who came in first, and Dr. John Noseworthy, president and CEO of the Mayo Clinic, second. Feinberg has moved up six spots from last year. This is the fourth time he has been named to the list.Now in its 13th year, Modern Healthcare's annual list honors physicians working in the healthcare industry who are deemed by their peers and an expert panel to be the most influential in terms of demonstrating leadership and impact.Feinberg unveiled the health system's most radical innovation, ProvenExperience in November 2015, which offers refunds to patients whose expectations weren't met based on kindness and compassion.
