A Monroe County man has been charged with public drunkenness and a drug count following an incident that occurred at 6 p.m. Monday.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said they received a complaint of a suspicious man on a bicycle in the area of Route 940 and Wagners Forest. The report indicated the person riding the bike had fallen off it about three times and appeared to be intoxicated.Police responded to the area and observed a man riding a bike westbound. Officers tried to stop the man but he continued riding until he arrived in the area of Selig Garden Center, where he fell off the bike.The man was identified as Gregory Scherber, 58, of 138 Lloyd Circle, Pocono Lake. He was intoxicated and taken into custody. He also had marijuana.
