Pocono Mountain Regional police are investigating an incident in which a boy riding a scooter was struck by a vehicle.

Police said the incident occurred about 2:57 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of Kilmer Road and White Birch Lane in Pocono Farms, Coolbaugh Township. Police said a boy, 7, was riding a scooter on White Birch Lane and was unable to stop and drove onto Kilmer Road where he was struck by a vehicle.The male was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono for treatment of minor injuries. Police, who did not release the name of the driver of the vehicle, said the investigation is continuing.
