Carbon man admits to drug count, theft charges

A Carbon County man admitted to a drug delivery charge and theft count in two pending cases last Friday in the county court.

Judge Joseph J. Matika accepted guilty pleas from Charles William Nase, 20, of Summit Hill, to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and two counts of theft.The drug charge was the result of an incident on April 28 when police went to a residence along East White Street to serve a warrant on Nase. Found in the residence was marijuana in an amount large enough to use for sale.The theft counts occurred on Feb. 4 along East Hazard Street in Summit Hill. Nase admitted taking a backpack belonging to Todd Konstas in which money and other items were taken.On the drug charge Matika placed Nase on probation for a year and on the theft counts six months probation on each count, concurrent with each other but consecutive to the drug charge for a total of 18 months probation.Nase was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, supply and DNA sample, make restitution of $200, no contact with the victim, 75 hours of community service, pay court costs of about $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation.
