Former Whitehall teacher charged with sending inappropriate pictures

A former Whitehall High School teacher faces criminal charges after his alleged inappropriate contact with students.

David Andrew Borghesani, 29, of Northampton, has been charged with one count each of unlawful contact with a minor, a felony of the third degree; and corruption of minors, a misdemeanor of the first degree.He will be arraigned on Tuesday, according to prosecutors.On October 10, 2016, the Whitehall Township Police Department was contacted by the Whitehall-Coplay School District after the parents of a minor student reported inappropriate contact between their daughter and Borghesani.Borghesani was a teacher at Whitehall High School at that time. He resigned from his position in February.During an interview with Det. Jeffrey Bruchak, the student said she and Borghesani were in contact via the Snapchat phone application for over a year.In the early stages of their communications, there were no inappropriate messages. However, in August of 2016, the defendant sent her several inappropriate photos.The investigation led to a second victim, who said Borghesani began communicating via Snapchat in 2016 when she was a minor.She and Borghesani exchanged numerous nude photos during the summer of 2016, according to a news release.Borghesani reportedly messaged the girl asking to have sexual intercourse with her, and also sent her a video of him masturbating.A third victim also told Bruchak that Borghesani sent her several nude photos of himself via Snapchat.
