A Monroe County man is facing sexual assault and other counts following an investigation by Pocono Mountain Regional police.

Police said they received a report on July 4 of a 15-year-old girl being sexually assaulted by a man known to the victim. The male was later identified as Jay Perrine II, 27, of Cresco.The investigation revealed that Perrine had sexual intercourse with the underage girl on two occasions at his home along Spruce Cabin Road. The incidents occurred on June 1. Perrine was arrested on July 4.He has been charged with statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, sexual assault, corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor, all felonies.Perrine is an inmate in the county prison in Snydersville on the charges, police said.
