State Police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents:

• A 46-year-old man from Saylorsburg has been cited for harassing a 28-year-old woman from West Chester. The incident occurred around 5 a.m. onMonday onMeixsell Valley Road in Eldred Township, Monroe County. Troopers did not release the man's name.• Police are investigating a burglary that happened between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. June 30on Howard Court in Ross Township. The victim, a 75-year-old man, reported someone broke a window to gain entry to the residence and stole items valued at over $600.• Police are investigating the theft of a black Hyper 20-inch mountain bike froma Stoney Creek Road residence in Penn Forest Township. The incident happened between 9 p.m. June 23 and 2 p.m. June 25. The victim is a 27-year-old township resident who said the bike was stolen from the backyard of the property.• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened between 11 p.m. June 25 and 8 a.m. June 26 in the 500 block of Sand Quarry Road, East Penn Township. The victim,a Lehighton resident, told police someone drove a vehicle onto his lawn and damaged it. The estimated damages are $100.• Police said Ashley Neff, 31, of Weissport, was cited onSaturday at 10:33 p.m. for not having her dog properly secured while it was in the backyard of her residence. The dog left the yard and entered the victim's yardon White Street, and acted in an aggressive manner. She was issued a non-traffic citation.• Police are investigating an attempted burglary at a property in East Penn Township. The incident happened between 6:30 a.m. and noon June 23 ata Lauchnor Grove Lane residence in the township. The victim is a 30-year-old Lehighton man. Police said it appeared as if someone attempted to gain entry to the residence but failed to do so.• Police said two cases vehicles in Bowmanstown were entered and items were taken. An iPhone charger worth $35 was stolen from a vehicle on June 22. The victimreported someone removed the charger from her vehicle while it was parked in the 400 block of White Street in the borough. a.m.Tuesdayon Ore Street. The victimsaid someone stole a purse from her car.• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 12:41 p.m. on June 25 along Middle Creek Road. Troopers said Owen L. Sullivan, 21, of Phoenixville, Chester County, was westbound on a bridge when he reached for a cigarette. The vehicle left the road and struck a concrete barrier on the bridge. Sullivan was not injured but his vehicle had to be towed and there were damages to the bridge barrier.Sullivan was cited for the crash.• The second crash occurred at 5:52 p.m. on June 26 along New York Boulevard. Troopers said Michaela A. Hemmes, 18, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2007 Ford Freestyle southbound and approaching the area of Route 209 when she had to swerve to avoid a deer. As she attempted to travel back onto the road she lost control and began to fishtail. The Freestyle then struck a utility pole on the right side of the road with the right front bumper area. Upon impact with the pole the vehicle overturned and came to final rest on the left side facing west.Hemmes was not injured but the Freestyle had to be towed from the scene.
